The Auto Bild and Bild am Sonntag magazines have recognized DRIVE PILOT as the best innovation of the year, celebrating its significant contribution to the advancement of autonomous driving technology. The award was presented to Ola Källenius, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, at a gala ceremony held on November 7, 2024, at the Axel Springer-Haus in Berlin.

Earlier in September, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the latest version of DRIVE PILOT to select media at a press event, including representatives from Auto Bild and Bild am Sonntag. The new system is capable of following an advance driver on highways at speeds up to 95 km/h under certain conditions, offering customers even greater value and enhancing the driving experience with highly automated driving.
